We finally got it. Sony pleasantly surprised us with the presentation of the long-awaited PlayStation 5 Pro gaming console. This brings a larger Solid State drive, a more powerful processor, but is only available without an optical drive, as interest in it is declining.

The main asset of the new gaming console PlayStation 5 Pro will of course be the processor. This is an AMD processor equipped with eight special Zen 2 processor cores and an RDNA 3 graphics card with as many as 30 active graphics cores and 16 gigabytes of GDDR6 graphics memory. The processor will certainly cope with even the most demanding tasks, as it should be able to reach an operating frequency of up to four gigahertz at full load. The processor of the regular PlayStation 5 console reaches a maximum of 3.5 gigahertz. The graphics card also received significant improvements.

The new graphics card contains as much as 67 percent more graphics cores. Therefore, it is not surprising that its performance is as much as 45 percent higher compared to that found in the PlayStation 5 console. In practice, this means that it can be compared in terms of performance to the AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics card. The new PlayStation 5 Pro is also equipped with a larger Solid State drive - up to two terabytes. Of course, the highlight is the fast Wi-Fi 7 wireless connection, which many will appreciate.

The new PlayStation 5 Pro gaming console is of course not cheap. In the United States, the entry-level version of the new product is priced at a recalculated 634 euros. Pre-orders for the novelty in the United States will begin on September 26. The news should soon reach us as well. This will of course be much more expensive. In all probability around 700 euros.
