Honor introduced another foldable phone
Chinese users often have the advantage of being the first to test new devices from their home manufacturers: Huawei, Honor, Oppo, OnePlus... But we in Europe always have to wait a few months or hope that the manufacturer will still decide to make a global version. Honor, which has been making waves in the field of foldable phones recently, recently launched the HONOR Magic V Flip, a clamshell-like phone similar to Samsung's Flip.
HONOR has put a lot of emphasis on the design of the Magic V Flip device, which is evident at first glance. This is a beautiful foldable phone. For starters, it's very thin, measuring just 7.15mm when folded or 14.89mm when closed. It weighs 193 g. The frame is curved and the device is available in three colors: black, white and pink. However, these are not your typical colors. The black and white versions look almost like a pearl, while the pink one has a very unique pattern. They all look sleeker and more sophisticated than most smartphones, and there's also a special edition that's green and shiny.
Those who take fashion more seriously will love that HONOR offers additional accessories to turn your phone into a "watch, bag, etc." The device is also quite powerful. They chose the now somewhat old Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for the chip, which, with the exception of the most demanding tasks, will easily satisfy most users. Why they decided on an older chip is clear if we take into account that it is a phone for around 700 dollars. They simply had to make a compromise somewhere.
One of the biggest highlights is the external screen, which is one of the largest for phones of this type. Equipped with an LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 85% screen-to-body ratio, it looks almost flawless.
The battery (4800mAh) charges at a fast 66W, but there is no wireless charging. It is not yet clear when or if the phone will come to Slovenia. If this happens, we can expect it in the fall.
