Huawei MateStation X 2023: All-in-one PC for professionals
At the end of 2022, Huawei introduced the MateStation X 2023, a new all-in-one computer equipped with a powerful Intel Core i9-12900H processor in the standard configuration. Now the company has introduced a new version of the model equipped with an Intel Core i5-12500H processor.
In contrast to the Core i9 version, the new model with a less powerful processor offers only one memory option, namely 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. Users can store the operating system, programs and data on the 1 TB NVMe SSD, which promises a correspondingly high data transfer speed.
The screen measures 28.2 inches diagonally and offers a high resolution of 3840 x 2560 pixels with touch support. The maximum brightness is rated at 500 cd/m², which is higher than the usual standard for cheaper monitors. The 60Hz refresh rate isn't exactly its flashy feature, but it'll suffice for office use. It is not intended for playing games, although it is capable of running some undemanding ones, but for anything else you would need a dedicated graphics card
A webcam with a resolution of 2 MP is built in and two speakers with a power of 5 watts each are also on board. There are four microphones and a modern Thunderbolt 4 port. There is also USB-C with DisplayPort image output and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports.
In China, the new version of the computer is available for around US$1,200. Whether the computer will also come to Europe is currently in doubt. Huawei has been withdrawing from the Slovenian and other European markets for some time in the computer market
