Netflix is preparing an animated series about Minecraft

Another good news for fans of the Minecraft game, who previously learned that a "live-action" movie is in the works. The main role will go to the charismatic Jack Black.

It's hard to believe that Minecraft was released 15 years ago. His popularity has not waned a bit, on the contrary. The streaming platform Netflix announced that the series will "contain an original story with new characters and try to show the world of Minecraft in a new light." Other major details have not been revealed, but the production will be handled by the studio WildBrain, known for adaptations such as Sonic Primer and Ninjago. The series is coming soon but no exact date.

The Minecraft series is just another example of successful video game adaptations in film format. We can say that there has been a fever recently, as we have received quite a few adaptations of this type. The most famous and successful are The Last of Us and Fallout, then Mario and Sonic, as well as the popular monster hunter Geralt, played by Henry Cavill, and recently replaced by Liam Hemsworth. Adaptations of the games Among Us, Death Stranding and Stray are also in the works.

Fans of the animated series could enjoy one of the best adaptations of the Castlevania game. Netflix has also tried its hand at series about Dota 2, Gears of War, Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider, Mega Man, Valorant and quite a few others.

The movie with Jack Black is supposed to come out next year.
