Interesting Orange Pi 5 Pro available for everyone

Orange Pi 5 Pro is a new single board computer with extensive features and relatively high computing power. This has so far only been available for limited markets around the world. From now on, it can be ordered in almost all countries around the world, including Slovenia. The extremely interesting Orange Pi 5 Pro is available for purchase even through Amazon and AliExpress online stores for around 130 euros.

Despite its very limited dimensions, the Orange Pi 5 Pro is very powerful. The engineers installed a Rockchip RK3588S chip (SoC) in it, it has four Cortex A76 and four Cortex A55 cores. The SoC not only has an integrated ARM Mali-G610 video accelerator, but also a processing unit that is said to provide AI computing power of up to 6 TOP, enabling the optimal performance of relevant artificial intelligence applications. This offers advantages for demanding tasks such as image recognition.

Depending on the selected version of the model, we can choose between 4, 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Optional eMMC memory modules are supported, but you can also use a microSD card, as is common for single-board computers. An NVMe or SATA SSD can be installed in the M.2 Key M slot. There are USB ports and additional ones can be accessed via connectors.

There are two HDMI outputs, one for HDMI 2.1 and the other for HDMI 2.0, which means that 8K visuals can be output at a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It also has a MIPI port that you can use to connect cameras. Network connection is also optionally possible via Ethernet, also with PoE – in this case the Orange Pi 5 Pro receives power via Ethernet rather than the USB-C port. WiFi 5 and Bluetooth are supported. More information about the extremely interesting computer is available on the Orange Pi website.
