What can we expect from gaming on the PlayStation 5 Pro?
The powerful gaming console PlayStation 5 Pro has been talked about on the Internet for a long time. But if all goes according to luck, it will be available for purchase at the end of this year. The novelty is said to have 4 times more capacity for shading content while playing computer games compared to today's PlayStation 5 console. The console's performance itself is said to be more than twice as large.
But more performance won't necessarily translate into higher quality gaming. Current games that are limited to 30fps will not be able to run at 60fps. The reasons for this are mainly to be found in the limitations of the built-in processor. This will be only slightly more powerful compared to the one found in the classic PlayStation 5 consoles. This means that only certain games or new games that will be completely adapted to the more powerful hardware of the new gaming console will be able to benefit from the performance of the new gaming console PlayStation 5 Pro consoles.
If online rumors are to be believed, the new gaming console will be equipped with an AMD processor with eight dedicated Zen 2 processor cores and an RDNA 3 graphics card with as many as 30 active graphics cores and 16 gigabytes of GDDR6 graphics memory. The processor will certainly cope with more demanding tasks, as it should be able to reach an operating frequency of up to four gigahertz at full load. The processor of the regular PlayStation 5 console reaches a maximum of 3.5 gigahertz.
Therefore, it is not surprising that the graphics performance of the PlayStation 5 Pro gaming console is said to be comparable even to the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card. This means that the graphics performance of the new product will be almost twice as much compared to the current gaming console PlayStation 5. It should actually be able to run console games in both 4K and 8K resolution with ray-tracing technology. Playing in the highest resolution will naturally take place at lower graphics settings. But as already mentioned, many existing games will not be able to use the more powerful new hardware.
