Oukitel WP36: the loudest phone on the market
Oukitel's next phone, the WP36, is expected to be designed for spending time outdoors without worrying too much about charging, thanks to its huge 10,000 mAh battery. Since it will not be equipped with the most powerful hardware, the battery autonomy should be sufficient for several days of use. In addition to the IP68, IP69K, MIL-STD-810H certificates, it will simultaneously break volume records.
It's hard to believe, but the laurel of the loudest phone actually exists. And two companies are fighting for it: Oukitel and Ulefone. Ulefone just released an equally loud Power Armor 16S phone that you wouldn't want to see in the hands of your next-door neighbor. Oukitel immediately struck back and introduced the WP36 model.
The Oukitel WP36 is said to be able to produce 128 decibels (dB) of sound, surpassing its predecessor the WP22 with 125 dB. The 8D stereo sound system (up to 3.5W) will be strategically placed in the middle of the back of the smartphone's rear camera. If we zoom in a bit, we can see minor similarities with the Nubia Z phone.
Oukitel's rugged smartphone will also be able to double as a portable charging station, as the massive battery will also support reverse charging, something not found in Ulefone phones. But it will have a measly 13 MP camera (the Ulefone Power Armor 16S has a 50 MP camera).
Both smartphones are said to have 16GB of RAM, but in conjunction with virtual RAM, which draws resources from the drive and is not equivalent to working memory. The WP36 will have a larger (albeit HD+) 6.52-inch display at launch, and will be powered by a MediaTek MT8788 processor, which is its industry designation, so we don't know its exact specs. Sales will begin in April.
