TikTok is one step closer to being completely blocked in the US

If the act "Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act" is approved by the US Senate and signed by the US President, the social network TikTik will be in a hurry. The company ByteDance will have to sell the American branch of TikTok within six months. Considering the value of the company, this will be anything but easy.

If ByteDance failed to sell the American branch in time, a ban on American soil would follow. The popular social network would no longer be accessible to the 170 million Americans who actively use TikTok today. The punishment should also befall the platforms that will not remove the controversial application from their set.
