Only about 3.36 percent of Internet users currently swear by the open source web browser Firefox, which certainly cannot be something to be proud of. The new version 122 could give additional impetus to the Mozilla Firefox web browser. This is already available for download for all leading operating systems, namely Windows, macOS and Linux, as well as for mobile operating systems Android and iOS.

The new Mozilla Firefox 100 web browser brings "passkeys" support by default for the first time. These represent an alternative to all well-known passwords. In practice, they allow users to log into accounts with the same biometrics or PIN they use to unlock their devices, or with a physical security key. This eliminates the need for users to use the traditional username and password combination, which has been around for a long time and is still considered quite vulnerable.

"passkeys" passwords consist of two parts. One part remains on the application server or website, and the other part is stored on your device, which allows you to prove that you are the rightful owner of the account. This makes it almost completely impossible for hackers to remotely access your account. This requires physical accessibility to the user's device - even in the event of hacking into the server.

The new Firefox 122 brings a number of other options. Among them, we find the possibility of identifying fake comments on the Amazon online store. We enable this by typing "about:config" (without quotes) in the address bar and setting the value "browser.shopping.experience2023.enabled" to "true".

The new Firefox is already available for download at https://www.mozilla.org/sl/firefox/new/. Of course, this has already been translated into Slovenian. We are sure that you will be more than satisfied with it.
