Cheap Netflix already impressed five million users

Netflix refreshed its offer at the end of last year. It introduced a special form of subscription package, which is also the most affordable. In exchange for a lower price, the user is shown advertisements while playing video content. According to the company, these ads should not be overly intrusive.

The cheapest subscription to classic Netflix in Europe is currently 8.99 euros, but with the introduction of ads it has become slightly lower. Netflix with ads only costs 5.49 euros. These are currently limited to four minutes for every hour of video playback. Netflix plays a variety of commercials so that one or two are not repeated throughout, which should at least improve the user experience a little. It is also interesting and user-friendly that there are no ads during the playback of content when it is available to the public for the first time.

Apparently, the cheaper Netflix has already gained more than five million users worldwide. Even more telling is the fact that they managed to achieve this only in the first six months after the official announcement. The average age of users who opt for a cheaper subscription is 34 years old. It is also interesting to note that as many as a quarter of new subscribers are currently opting for the cheaper Netflix with ads, which exceeded even the most optimistic forecasts. Therefore, Netflix will most likely roll out the new subscription gradually in all countries in which it is present.
