5 Android Apps You Shouldn't Miss This Week (Part 84)

Lack-Back Camp All-in-one

Price: Free of charge

Laid-Back Camp All-in-one is a game set in the Laid-Back Camp anime universe. This is a narrative driven game where you progress through the story by watching cut scenes. Between these you build a camp, eat food and make friends in the game. Laid-Back Camp All-in-one is a surprisingly cool game with not much action. You'll spend most of your playtime watching story cutscenes and playing with your camp and cast of characters. Still, it's a nice tribute to the anime and we think fans will enjoy it.

Stippl

Price: Free of charge

Stippl is a trip planner that aims to do more than the average app of its kind. It does the basics like planning your travel itinerary, choosing accommodation and budgeting. It also has some extras like a notes section and a sync function with the desktop version so you can continue your design on your computer. The app's features seem to work well for the most part. However, as with most new apps, there are some bugs that the developers still need to iron out, and some features could use some improvements. Overall, the user experience is not bad.

Static Shift Racing

Price: Free of charge

Static Shift Racing is a surprisingly competent racing game. Players race on tracks where drifting is the main part of the mechanics. As is the norm in this genre, there is also car modification and customization. The customization isn't as clean as some of the bigger names, but the changes are surprisingly deep. Players can drive around an open world reminiscent of the old Need for Speed games, and overall there are quite a few races to play. The graphics aren't as clean as some of its competitors, but Static Shift Racing is so much fun to play that we'll take it.

Pokemon TCG Live

Price: Free of charge

Pokemon TCG Live has been in open beta for a long time, and the app officially launched last week. It offers cross-platform gaming between mobile devices, PCs and Mac OS. In terms of mechanics, it plays like most card dueling games. You collect cards, build a deck and face off against your opponents. In addition to the main mechanics, the game also has battle passes so you can earn extra rewards and more. Interestingly, it also has support for the old Pokemon Trading Card Game. You can import your collection from this game into Pokemon TCG Live and even use old codes from the previous game. There are still quite a few bugs and this is also the main complaint of the players. Regardless, we're sure things will get better over time.
