Red Magic 9 Pro with the ultimate gaming experience

Black Shark, ASUS ROG, Red Magic are brands that we associate with gaming phones. Recently, Red Magic launched the latest Red Magic 9 Pro in China, which is also available in Europe from December 18. There is also a Plus version available, but we have no information on whether it will be available here.

One of the standout features of the smartphone is its flat screen with no notch. Instead, it boasts a superb 16MP under-display (fifth-generation) front-facing camera. The AMOLED screen is 6.8 inches and has a resolution of 2480 x 1160 pixels. With a brightness of 1600 nits, users can expect vivid images and worry-free gaming on a bright sunny day. In addition, the display offers a PWM adjustment frequency of 2160 Hz for more comfortable browsing and less eye strain.

The RedMagic 9 Pro is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This processor provides exceptional performance, aided by an advanced cooling system with a large vapor chamber and an active fan. The smartphone achieved an impressive score of 2.291 million points in the AnTuTu synthetic test, setting a new performance record.

The Red Magic 9 Pro has a large 6500 mAh battery that supports 80-W charging, while the Red Magic 9 Pro+ has a 5500 mAh battery and supports 165-W charging. The phone is fully charged in just 35 minutes. While the Pro+ model does it in just 16 minutes.

Both models support USB 3.2 Gen 2 and boast stereo speakers, a powerful vibration motor, 3.5mm headphone jacks, NFC chips and IR emitters.

In terms of camera capabilities, the main camera consists of three modules. These modules house sensors with a resolution of 50 MP with OIS, again 50 MP (equipped with an ultra-wide-angle lens) and 2 MP (intended for macro photography).

The price of the currently most powerful gaming phone is around 700 euros, depending on the configuration.
